Make Room in Your Closet. You’ll Need It.
Donate. Shop. Support.
On Saturday, October 10, we’re hosting the Village West Pilates Closet Sale + Open House at the studio, right in the middle of the Downtown Westminster Oyster Stroll. We’ll be selling gently used activewear, shoes, and fitness accessories, and 100% of the proceeds will fund free, trauma-informed Pilates classes for our community.
We care deeply about making movement, connection, and the benefits of Pilates more accessible. This is one way we get there, and it starts with your closet.
FIRST, CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET
We’re collecting donations through Thursday, October 8. Clean, gently used activewear, athleisure, sneakers, bags, and fitness accessories in any size are all welcome. If you’d hand it to a friend, we’d love to have it.
There are three places to drop off:
Village West Pilates, 18 W Main St: Monday to Friday 9:15 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Run Moore, 28 W Main St: Tuesday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cultivated, 15 E Main St: Tuesday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Brands we’re looking for: lululemon, Athleta, Vuori, Alo, Free People Movement, Beyond Yoga, Nike, Adidas, Patagonia, The North Face, and other premium brands. Ravens and Orioles gear is welcome too.
Donate, and you shop first. Doors open for donors at 11:30 a.m. on sale day, 30 minutes before everyone else.
THEN COME SHOP ON THE 10TH
The sale runs Saturday, October 10, from 12 to 4 PM at 18 W Main St. You don’t need to be a member, and you don’t need an Oyster Stroll ticket. Just enter the studio directly from the street, and bring a friend.
It’s an open house too. Come see the studio, meet our instructors, and ask anything you’ve wondered about getting started with Pilates. No reservation needed.
Downtown will be busy with the Stroll. Free parking is available in any Westminster municipal lot, a short walk from the studio.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
Trauma-informed Pilates classes are taught with extra care around choice, pacing, and comfort, so each of us can move in a way that feels good in our bodies. Sale proceeds cover our instructors’ time so these classes can be free. We expect to offer the first ones in early 2027.
Anything that doesn’t sell will be donated to Springboard Community Services, which supports survivors of domestic abuse here in Carroll County. You’ll also find us at Springboard’s 5th Annual Hope Starts Here event the following weekend at Westminster City Park. Come say hi!
