Private sessions offer the most effective introduction to the Pilates method. One-on-one training allows for individualized education, personalization, and thoughtful progression, supporting strength, mobility, and confidence from the start. Clients often gain new awareness of movement patterns they hadn’t previously recognized.
At Village West, private sessions are the recommended starting point. Whether your goal is a group classes, ongoing private training, or a combination of both, this foundation allows us to thoughtfully guide you toward the path that best supports your goals and needs.
The Pilates Method
Pilates is a comprehensive system, and private sessions allow you to experience the method as it was intended: connected, progressive, and intentional.
The work is adaptable for a wide range of bodies and backgrounds, including beginners, seniors, athletes, those who are pregnant, prenatal and postnatal clients, and individuals managing joint pain, scoliosis, or returning to movement after time away. Sessions are designed around your body, your goals, and your current needs, with exercises selected and modified in real time.
Our Private Studio
Our comprehensive private studio is equipped with state-of-the-art Balanced Body apparatus. Your instructor will select the equipment that best supports your goals and needs.

Your Pilates Practice
Pilates is not something you can fully understand or decide “if it’s for you” in a single group class. Private training allows time for assessment, education, and thoughtful progression. With your instructor’s full attention, you receive immediate feedback on form and alignment, helping you build a strong foundation and progress with confidence.
For those managing ongoing injuries or physical considerations, one-on-one instruction may be the most supportive option long-term. For most, a combination of group classes and private sessions are recommended.
